Strategic Planning Vision Team
|
This week your session was presented with a full version of a Strategic Plan that the seven members of our planning team have been working on for nearly a year and a half. For the past several months, the team has been in dialogue with the elders over the hopes, visions, and specific action steps that are incorporated into the plan. Next
Wednesday, February 21st
, we invite you to join us for our normal Wednesday supper and evening program to hear more about this plan. The church leadership is anxious to share our excitement with you all!

What is it you do with your one wild and precious life? This line, from Mary Oliver's poem The Summer Day, encourages us all to think about the world in which we live and how we are called to live in it. In the season of Lent, join Rachel on Thursdays at noon to reflect on Mary Oliver and the Poetry of Lent. Beginning February 22, come each week and take time to be led by scripture and share in the Lenten disciplines of paying attention, devotion, and prayer. We will meet in the sun room of the Fellowship House; please feel free to bring your lunch, all are welcome!

New Sunday School Class Offering |
Looking for a way dig deeper into your faith and see the many amazing ways and places that God is at work in your life? Come join the
Journey Class and find connection, community, and the gift of journeying through Scripture together. Hunter Morrison will facilitate this biblical-based conversation class in which people from all walks of life are invited to find an uplifting and strengthening message in Scripture.
This class, which will meet on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour in Room 201 of the Education Building, will begin with N.T Wright's Lent for Everyone, which is a devotional and study guide that follows the Scripture readings for each Sunday in Lent. The class will have its first meeting this
Sunday, February 18th, which is the first Sunday of Lent. Seeking to be a place where our community can support one another through various life experiences, this class will help us pay attention to how scripture and faith can serve as both a comfort and a guide and to see how God is present alongside us through our journey of faith. Hunter extends this invitation to you: "
let's journey together and discover some new things on our journey of faith and life and see what God has done and continues to do in our lives."

This Sunday the Todd Hobbie class will continue its study of the prophet Amos, who calls the children of God into a faith that guides all aspects of living. Chapters 3 and 4 are this week's topic, but no "homework" is required. Just come as you are!
