Graydon Beeks leads the Pomona College Band in their closing concert of the semester. The ensemble welcomes faculty oboist Francisco Castillo to solo in Rimsky-Korsakoff's Variations on a Theme of Glinka. Also on the program are works by Harry Berman (Pomona '24), Carolyn Bremer, Chen Yi, Frank Ticheli, and others.
Performers Sakura Tsai, violin; Kira Blumberg, viola; Eric Lindholm, cello; and Genevieve Feiwen Lee, piano; are all active musicians throughout the region and have performed with ensembles from the Long Beach Symphony to the LA Philharmonic. Their Pomona program features the music of Alberto Colla, Caroline Shaw, and Robert Schumann.
