(Boise, ID – July 24, 2024) – The official ballot for the Boise School Board Trustee Election on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 has been finalized. There will be only one race on this year’s ballot. 

Initially, there were three separate Trustee races slated for the Election:

• Race #1: for three trustee positions on the Boise School Board, each with a six-year term. 
• Race #2: for one trustee position on the Boise School Board with a four-year term. 
• Race #3: for one trustee position on the Boise School Board with a two-year term. 

The following candidates have filed for this year’s election. 

• Race #1 (three positions, six-year term) 
• Maria Greeley (incumbent)
• Elizabeth Langley (incumbent)
• Paul Bennion (current trustee)
• Race #2 (1 position, four-year term)
• Debbie Donovan – incumbent
• Race #3: (1 position, two-year term)
• Krista Hasler
• Matthew Shapiro 

Since only incumbents have filed in Race #1 and only a single (incumbent) candidate in Race #2, these races are considered uncontested. Per Idaho code 33-502B, the uncontested races will not appear on the ballot. The ballot will consist of one contested Trustee race with a two year term. A sample ballot is available on the District’s Trustee Election webpage.

Election Information

On Tuesday, September 3, 2024 polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the Boise School District as the 2024 Trustee Election is held. Absentee Ballot Request Forms 

• Absentee Ballot request forms for the Tuesday, September 3, 2024 Boise School Board Trustee Election are available at the Boise School District Services Center, 8169 W. Victory Rd., Boise, ID 83709 or on the District's 2024 Trustee Election website.
• The District will begin mailing Absentee Ballots to voters for the September 3rd, 2024 Election on Monday, July 29, 2024. 
• Completed Absentee Ballot request forms must be received by the Boise School District by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2024. 
• All completed Absentee Ballots must be returned to the Boise School District Services Center, 8169 W. Victory Road, Boise, ID 83709 by Election Day, September 3, 2024 at 8:00 p.m.

Boise School District is looking for community members interested in becoming a Chief Judge or a Poll Worker for the Boise School District Trustee Election. If you would like to become a poll worker for the Boise School District Trustee Election, you must meet the following requirements: 

• Be a citizen of the United States
• Attend mandatory training, and
• Remain politically neutral while serving at the polls.
