Thank you to all who came out to the 50^th Balloon Fiesta! It was great to see both new and returning faces! Due to weather during the event, 2022 General Admission tickets that were unused, are valid for entry to a session of your choice during the 51^st event. Additionally, please keep in mind that submissions to the Cindy Petrehn Memorial Photo Contest will end on October 31. The grand prize winner will receive $1,000. October in Ballooning

On October 6, 2019, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta set the Guinness World Record for the Greatest Mass Balloon Ascent, with the launch of 524 hot air balloons. This Mass Ascension broke the previous record more than 400 balloons during a launch. This world record was set during the 48^th Balloon Fiesta.
