Dear Academy Families,

I hope this letter finds you all well into summer mode with whatever family fun you enjoy during this time of year.

I love the warm weather and the sand under my feet but, I am super excited to kick off our very special 140th school year. Along with the Parents' League, we are going to be celebrating our big year with a number of events. We are kicking off Phase One of the Reimagine Renaissance Campaign with three significant projects this year. We have engaged an architect to aid us in the creation of an Innovation Lab, we are relocating and renovating our Library to enhance its use as a Multicultural Center. This new library will not only be the hub of learning but a place to celebrate the diversity of our community, promote education and awareness about cultural differences, a space for advocacy and support, as well as, a space for cultural preservation. Additionally, in consultation with an acoustical engineer, we are renovating the Haugen Hall Auditorium. These projects afford us ways to reimagine the student experience. We have embarked on a Master Plan that will enhance each building on campus over the next few years.

Do not worry, I am not rushing you all back, I just want to give you enough time to sort through the back-to-school documents.
