BUSC Newsletter

February 15, 2024

Dear BUSC Families and Supporters,

We hope everyone's 2024 has gotten off to a great start. We have been hard at work planning lots of spring play for our Comp, MLS NEXT, Rec, Futsal and PASS adult teams.

The BUSC community is always growing, and we'd love to see your family on the field with us this spring. We have Spring Rec programs up and accepting registrations as well as a new FREE Ballisitc Futures Program for the ages 4-5. See details and registration links in each section below. As always, the BUSC staff is ready to respond with any questions or concerns, so don't hesitate to reach out.

One of the goals for the Ballistic United Soccer Club has always been to create the best possible learning environment for the players to be able grow, both as a player and as a person.

In order to provide the best path for the players to develop is to put the best staff in place to guide the players as they move through the program.

"The club has always prioritized and has been successful building a very experienced technical staff,” said Kevin Crow, the Executive Director of Ballistic. “I would rank our current staff as one of the top youth soccer club staffs in the country.”

We feel we have succeeded in that area and wanted to share some of the accomplishments of our talented staff!

Austin Daniels National Hall of Fame Selection

Austin Daniels, a renowned soccer coach, has achieved national recognition by being inducted into the Black Coaches Community Hall of Fame at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America convention in Anaheim.

Despite battling cancer, Daniels, a four-time Hall of Fame member in Connecticut, was surprised by the honor and expressed gratitude to his family and the supportive community. His passion for soccer and commitment to growing the game have been the driving forces throughout his illustrious coaching career.

“I’ve never thought of awards,” said Daniels when asked why he has coached for so long. “I came to the sport because I loved it and I wanted to help grow the game.”

Amador Valley Scholarships

The Amador Valley Scholarships, Inc. was started in 1965 when a group of

educators and businesspeople got together for the purpose of raising money for scholarships for graduating seniors from Amador, Foothill and Village.

In 2010, BUSC started the Erik Jon Lemoine Scholarship in honor of an

outstanding former player who passed away after a long battle with cancer.

The Lemoine family has been a long-time member and passionate supporter of Ballistic United and the game of soccer that is played here in Pleasanton.

Each year, Ballistic United and the Lemoine family provide scholarships a

deserving individual. Recipients must reside in Pleasanton, attend and play

soccer at either local high school, be a senior, and have played their youth

soccer careers extensively at BUSC!
