Jennifer "JT" Thomas will be presenting on student athletes and the college process. As a former college soccer coach at CAL and college counselor at Maybeck High School, JT will provide insights into the recruiting process for all divisions of intercollegiate athletics. JT's experience as a college soccer player/coach, commentator for women's professional soccer, high school athletic director and competitive club soccer coach gives her a unique perspective on both sides of the student athlete college search. She was also a parent in the process!

What is futsal? Futsal is a fast-paced game played on a hard surface with continuous end-to-end action. Each team has five players on the court at a time: one goalkeeper and four court players. Some might liken it to basketball played with a soccer ball and a larger net.

Futsal is an incredibly beneficial component in the development of a soccer player. It offers players the opportunity to enhance their technical ball skills, becoming more comfortable with dribbling and executing skills at high speed. Moreover, it sharpens their insight and accelerates their decision-making abilities in game situations.

As part of our partnership, we are encouraging our whole community—parents, coaches, referees, spectators, and caregivers—to join the movement to create more enjoyable game day experiences and take The Sideline Project Pledge. We ask you share this message with your communities and encourage them to take the pledge with us to make sports better, together.
