Spring has definitely sprung with recent temperatures reaching summer-like heights! We hope you enjoyed your spring break from school and are ready to finish out the BUSC spring season strong. We are getting lots of internal and external inquiries regarding the evaluations and Team Placement for the 2022-2023 seasonal year. I think we will have pre-Covid numbers and interest in all of our programs for the 2022-2023 seasonal year. Again, I want to remind you to enjoy what is left of the spring season before thinking too far ahead into next season. With that, we have some very important information we are releasing today regarding comp evaluations for 2022-2023 Team Placements. All the information has been updated on the website www.busc,org. There, you can find the schedule for evaluations, coaching assignments and the new fee structure (to eliminate team fees). Please also join us April 24th where we will host a webinar to discuss evaluations/Team Placement and fees.

Evaluations for Team Placements and New COMP Fee Structure

The evaluation/tryout schedule for 2022-2023 Team Placements will be posted on April 15th at www.busc.org.

From Austin Daniels, our COMP Director:

“BUSC is a community soccer club with a competitive portion of the club. We will be holding evaluations and team placements for our current players as well as recreational players, within BUSC and players from other clubs in the area. During this time period if you are a current player at BUSC you will always have a spot on a team unless we don’t get enough players to form a team."

We will need volunteers to help with the evaluations. Families will receive a $50 credit (three hour shift) to their family account if they volunteer.

Come and enjoy the worlds most popular sport. Ballistic United Soccer Club is hosting two free clinics for 4, 5 & 6 year old boys and girls, to introduce new players to the “beautiful game.”

$10,000 Raffle is on! Who says 13 is an unlucky number?

Due to Covid-19 we weren't able to get together in October and celebrate during our largest fundraiser the Orange and Gold Gala. Usually at the Gala we draw one name to win $10,000 cash. Each rec registration will be entered for one raffle ticket and each comp registration will be entered for two raffle tickets. This year, we will be drawing one lucky winner on Friday May 13th, 2022, and we will announce the winner in the May newsletter.

You can buy additional raffle tickets to increase your chances of winning, and share the link with friends and family! Additional tickets must be purchased by 12:00 noon on May 13 to be entered in the drawing.

REC Coaching Program!

BUSC will host several Grassroots courses this Spring. The Grassroots courses are age group appropriate courses designed around the small-sided games that each age group plays. The foundation of BUSC recreation practices PLAY-PRACTICE-PLAY is the core of each of the courses. 

The course is FREE to BUSC coaches and requires a 20 minute pre-registration activity.

4v4 (U5-U8)         May 2        Field 5:30-7:30      Classroom 7:40-9:40

7v7 (U9-U10)       May 9        Field 5:30-7:30       Classroom 7:40-9:40

9v9 (U11-U12)     May 16      Field 5-7                 Classroom 7:15-9:15

The field sessions will be at Val Vista Soccer Park Field, 7350 Johnson Dr, Pleasanton, CA 94566. 

The classroom sessions will immediately follow at the BUSC office at 275 Rose Avenue, Suite 209.

Any coach who completes a Grassroots course for their respective age group and completes the season as a team coach will have their child’s registration reduced to $100 for the season. (this will be reimbursed at the conclusion of the season).
