A WEEK WITH BIA
BIA-LAV WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The BIA-LAV Workforce Development Committee held its monthly meeting on Friday, July 12th, wherein the conversation of addressing the labor shortage continued. Looking to create a long-term solution that will address this growing issue, the committee brainstormed and created a vision for a prosperous and sustainable program. It's a big undertaking, but the conversation is off to a great start!

LA COUNTY SUSTAINABILITY EVENT
On Wednesday, BIA-LAV attended an LA County Sustainability Plan event to promote business opportunities and support for the new "Our County" sustainability plan. A diverse group of business leaders and government officials examined the sustainability plan's connection to their green jobs. BIA-LAV sent a letter with concerns and comments in response to the first draft of the plan, and is awaiting the updated draft.
