In recent months, our community has been enriched by inspiring events and significant achievements. We've extended a warm welcome to new partners joining the Chairman's Council, whose enthusiasm and innovative ideas are invigorating our efforts. These partnerships are crucial as they expand our advocacy network and enhance our community impact.

Our calendar has been bustling with diverse activities. We've hosted a series of events that not only foster strong connections among members but also enhance our understanding of public policy initiatives. These gatherings, ranging from engaging discussions to enlightening workshops, have deepened our insight into the unique challenges our first responders face and solidified our commitment to support them steadfastly.

Together, we are crafting a narrative of meaningful impact and dedicated support for the heroes of Broward County. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for joining us in our mission to "Protect Those Who Protect Us."

Thank you for your unwavering support and partnership.

Warm regards,

Brent Campbell

UPGRADE TO CHAIRMAN'S COUNCIL

BSAC and The Stahl Family/DxWeb hosted the annual Tribute to Bravery BBQ to honor first responders and veterans. We celebrated the bravery of our hometown heroes and remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Guests also enjoyed a delicious BBQ, games for kids, giddy-up good time performances, live music, and the event ended with a spectacular firework show.

BSAC and the Sheriff’s Foundation partnered with the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Fire Rescue to make an impact this past holiday season. BSO school resource deputies hand selected 200 students that were most deserving and in need. Each child received a $200 Walmart shopping spree, a toiletry bag, photo with Santa, had a meet and greet with Sheriff Gregory Tony, Undersheriff Nichole Anderson, and other local first responders in the community. Thank you to each BSAC member who came out to volunteer and support.

Chairman’s Council partners have chosen to elevate their level of commitment and through their generous contributions we are able to make a greater impact in the lives of first responders, and the families of the fallen. We honored this group of dedicated members with an unforgettable night of dinner, conversation, and they were each presented with a plaque and lapel pin to commemorate their dedication. Sheriff Gregory Tony, Undersheriff Nichole Anderson, Fire Chief Timothy Keefe, Fort Lauderdale Police Chief Bill Schultz, and Fire Marshall Pete McGinnis joined us to create an unforgettable evening.

Our member dinners are always filled with laughter and are a great opportunity to mix and mingle with other community leaders who have the same passion for supporting first responders. Over 100 guests attended, along with BSO Undersheriff Nichole Anderson and the Executive Command. They shared valuable insights about what’s happening within BSO and the BSAC board filled everyone in on the exciting programs and initiatives that are coming up. We also had the pleasure of welcoming some new Chairman’s Council Partners into the organization.

Over 30 kids and their families came together for an epic Day at the Zoo! Our special guests fed giraffes, met exotic animals up close and personal, cooled down at the splash pad, experienced an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the elephant sanctuary, and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The jam-packed day of adventure was made possible by the generosity of the Stahl Family and DxWeb!

Our Chairman’s Council event took on a whole new level of excitement as we celebrated the incredible work of the BSO K9 Unit! From demonstrations to insightful discussions, it was truly a night to remember. Undersheriff Nichole Anderson, and members from the BSO Executive Command joined us, adding depth to our understanding of the Unit’s vital role in keeping our community safe. K9 Apprehension, Bomb Detection, and Bloodhounds for missing persons stole the show with their impressive skills and unwavering dedication. It wasn’t just about showcasing their abilities; it was about honoring their service and the bond they share with their handlers. We laughed, learned, and left with a renewed appreciation for these four-legged heroes. Thank you to our Chairman's Council partner, Victor Grillo, for hosting!
