Super Sixties: Memorial Planning

Nothing is certain except Death and Taxes. While we can do very little about the latter, we can plan for the former. Planning ahead can be an immense help for our families. Molly Peebles of Dignity Memorials will conduct an empowering workshop on planning for memorial services and possible cemetery arrangements. Ruth Ann will also provide some information on MIPCs Remembrance Garden. This interactive workshop will help you feel more prepared, and knowledgeable about your options and equipped to protect your loved ones. To plan for seating, please let Ruth Ann know if you will attend by Tuesday, June 18. RSVP to RuthAnnB@mipc.org or 206-232-5595 x1002.

A Month of Reading Psalms in July

Often times we want to read scripture but don't know where to start. This summer, Pastor Kristy has put together a Psalm-a-day calendar for us to use as a way to read and engage scripture together in July. The Psalms are prayers of people who are on a journey with God. They address God boldly and speak to God's love and faithfulness in every part of our lives. They can give voice to our pain and proclaim great joy. So this July, you are encouraged to open up the book of Psalms with other folks and see how they may speak in this world and our lives today.

Water Bottle Drive

Friends of the Children

MIPC is partnering with Friends of the Children to provide backpacks and school supplies for over 160 students in grades K-12. We are in need of new reusable water bottles for each student. They can be any brand, size and color you choose. Please drop them off anytime prior to July 21 in the Partnerships room in the box labeled Friends of the Children. Or you can make a donation online HERE (choose "partnerships" in the drop down menu and write "water bottles" in the notes section).

Join us for church on Sunday, July 21 to pack the backpacks and hear more about Friends during the church service.

Popsicles on the Patio

After each of our 9:30am summer worship services, we invite you to the church's front patio for a frozen popsicle or ice cream treat!
