You've also been asking when we're going to have an Open House at our new location (we are listening!).  We decided to coordinate it with Nostalgic Datsun's Multi-State Classic Tour.

Our Open House will be Friday September 30th so if you're headed out to Williams, AZ for the Mult-State Classic starting October 1st, you can stop by here and make the 3 hour drive to Williams in time for the Tour's Meet-and-Greet at 6pm that evening.

Not going on the Multi-State Tour?  Make it a weekend in Vegas!  Or just come to BRE for the day!

Tour our new shop, showroom and store.  Hang out with Peter Brock for some of his favorite BBQ and a group photo!  It's the perfect time to pick up one of our new shirts and show it off.  There will be in-store specials which will include items we have on clearance that we don't have posted on the website.

Peter Brock's Datzilla, BRE's legacy 240z and the original BRE Baja 510 that Brock raced in the Mexican 1000 in 1969 (now called the Baja 1000) will be out with your prized Datsuns/Nissans for photo opps. This is a memory worth capturing!

We will also be giving tours of our Aerovault manufacturing facility right next door so you can see Brock's latest design and what goes into creating an Aerovault.

It happened this Spring when Automobile design columnist, Robert Cumberford, came to visit us in Henderson. Cumberford and Brock worked at GM Styling during the same era. Cumberford worked with Harley Earl on the first generation Corvette ('53-'62) and Brock worked with Bill Mitchell on what became the '63 Sting Ray Corvette (which Brock penned in 1957).

The two have always respected each other and that admiration has only grown fonder over the decades. On a Sunday afternoon Bob and Peter sat down in the Aerovault showroom and shared stories for hours. At some point Bob's attention was drawn to the Aerovault sitting in the background. Brock gave him a tour from a designer's perspective and he was smitten.

Bob contacted his editors at Automobile magazine, long considered one of the top 3 automotive magazines, to say he had to do a feature on the mind of a designer and how that has translated into the most amazing automotive trailer available.  

 

The result was this wonderful article on Brock's thought process with the Aerovault.  "Speed Without Power: Peter Brock's Aerovault II Really Hauls: A great designercan do anything, including build a better car-hauling trailer"

 

Reprints of the article will be available at the Aerovault booth at Monterey next week, and at Lime Rock two weeks later, and at the BRE Open House 4 weeks after that!
