FREE Family Fun & Fireworks on Friday Night!
Celebrate Freedom & Farmers Branch on Friday!
All Farmers Branch residents are invited to join a very special celebration at the Farmers Branch Historical Park on Friday, July 2, from 6:30 to 10 p.m., as the community gathers in celebration to commemorate U.S. Independence along with the City's 75th anniversary.

The 75th anniversary of the City's incorporation will be combined with the City’s annual July 4th observance including live music on stage from the "Cover Down Band," food, fireworks, a short video documenting the City’s history, prize drawings and special guests. Five custom RTIC coolers will be given away during the event. Those who find a "Golden Ticket" in their free Farmers Branch backpacks will be awarded the coolers on the spot.
Don't forget the Firecracker Fast Pass allows residents free entry 30 minutes prior to the general public. However, it does NOT guarantee event admission. If the Historical Park reaches capacity, then overflow viewing of the fireworks display will be available at nearby Liberty Plaza.

Fast Passes have been mailed out in advance to Farmers Branch residents in the Branch Review. They are also available at the following locations. Limit of one per household.

  • Farmers Branch Community Recreation Center
  • The Branch Connection
  • Farmers Branch Historical Park
  • Farmers Branch Aquatic Center
  • The Parks & Recreation Office at Farmers Branch City Hall

Farmers Branch residents who arrive without a Firecracker Fast Pass can still enjoy free entry by presenting a photo ID with a Farmers Branch address.
From Manske Library
It's OPEN, with new carpet, lighting and more
The Manske Library has a new two-tone coat of paint and a modern facade to showcase the building's massive renovation.

The project is virtually complete and the Library reopened on Monday, June 28.

"We have new carpet throughout with a polished concrete stairway to the lower level," said Library Director Denise Wallace, "plus our new 'Innovation Zone,' or "makerspace" just off the front entrance."
The renovation has added five glass study rooms on the lower level, in addition to a modern workstation area and a new downstairs entrance. The upstairs adult book area has 20 new computer workstations, two meeting rooms, and all-new shelving.

Exterior work will continue, to add reflection ponds in front, amphitheater improvements, as well as Rawhide Creek bank and pathway upgrades behind the library.

New City website makes navigation easier
Last month the City unveiled a new and improved City of Farmers Branch website.

The new site offers a modern design and layout, a navigation geared more towards residents and a more mobile friendly site. During the process of this redesign, staff focused on the concept that the best government websites keep the citizen and their needs at the center of the digital experience. With that in mind, the goal of this redesign was to create a people-first website that focuses on the citizens experience rather than government or department structure.

Please also explore our updated mobile version of the same website (on right). It has also been designed to accommodate the needs of the citizen first.

If you have questions or comments about either new site, we welcome your feedback at info@farmersbranchtx.gov.
