Well, we know Spring should finally be here later this week after an unseasonably cold start to May, and lots of rain in late April. We certainly had a transformed day for our Spring Tune-Up – it looked like rain all day, until a miracle occurred, the rain stopped and sun came out right before tee-off.
We hope our members and guests enjoyed our first-ever try at something in Spring before the regular golf season kicked off. It was certainly nice to see all of you there, and to be able to get together again finally, after this past year.. we hope to see you all at the June 10th outing.

Overall we are hearing that businesses are starting to do well again. I wish to take a moment to say how grateful we all are to those scientists and companies who developed the COVID-19 vaccines. Last year at this time we couldn’t envision what our lives would be like going forward.

Spring Tune-Up with the PROS
On April 29th BPCIA hosted a Spring Tune-Up at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. We reached our maximum of 40 golfers within two weeks of notification. The golfers met on the range where they had one hour of unlimited range balls. They had the option to get into groups to work on their short or long game. Afterward the pros walked around offering tips to improve their game. Lunch was served on the patio followed by 18 holes of golf. The feedback we received was very positive... loved the new range and tips from the pros, as well as lunch, and of course 18 holes of golf. We are happy to say our event was a big success!
