Volunteers are also often asked to serve as panelists for the many grant programs and prizes that BOPA manages. Two residency programs at a creative research gallery & drawing center

The Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center is located in East Walnut Hills in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is currently accepting applications for both its Artist Residency and Scholar in Residence programs. Both residencies are open to artists of all levels. They are particularly beneficial to those who just graduated from a college program or starting their careers, but previous Resident Artists have included recent graduates, mid-career professors on sabbatical, and professional veterans, among others. Call for entries from undergraduate & graduate students

The Philadelphia Sketch Club (PSC) is America's oldest art club, and is currently seeking entries for its first Undergraduate & Graduate Student Art Show, running from May 5–26, 2024. Submitted pieces can be 2D or 3D in any medium. Jurors will choose a maximum of two works submitted by any one artist for display . The Image Flow invites photographic artists who are closely tied to the LGBTQIA2+ community to submit work to its 2nd Annual juried photography exhibition, "Queer Conscience 2024." Black Church Print Studio's International Artist-in-Residence program is a four-week term in Dublin, Ireland, for emerging, mid-career and established professional artists who are practicing printmakers. Since 2018, Uncool Artist has been providing an exclusive international art residency program for visual artists in Brooklyn, New York, and they currently have a limited number of slots remaining for the Summer/Fall 2024 cycle. The Uncool Artist Residency (UAR) studio is a workspace only. Opportunity for Oglala Lakota culture bearers and artists 

The Oglala Lakota Artspace Artist-In-Residence Program is designed to support Oglala Lakota culture bearers, and artists working in the continuum of Lakota art. Residencies are for two–six weeks and include living accommodations, a food stipend, workspace, material stipend, transportation to and from the residency space, and time to concentrate on creative practice. "Vision(ary) | Portraits of Cultures, Communities, and Environments" is the Griffin Museum of Photography’s summer public art exhibition dedicated to the art of visual storytelling. Photographers are invited to submit their work for consideration. There is no fee to submit. The resulting exhibition and selected stories are presented throughout the Winchester community as part of the Winchester Waterfield Summer Arts Festival. Two opportunities from Maryland Federation of Art (MFA)

MFA invites all artists to enter 2D and 3D abstract work for Maryland Hall’s Martino Gallery. All eligible fine art entries in any media will be considered by the juror. Grants for photographers working with still, film-based photography

The Film Photo Award offers two award cycles per year, each providing three distinct grants of professional photographic film and film processing by Griffin Editions to photographers who demonstrate a serious commitment to the field and are motivated to continue the development of still, film-based photography in the 21st century. The award is open to all emerging, established, and student photographers based in the United States who are 18 years old or older. The entry deadline is April 14, 2024. Funding support for collaborative, public-facing projects

The Grit Fund awards money proposals that use the visual arts to create collaborative public-facing projects. Grit Fund will provide up to $10,000 to Baltimore City- and Baltimore County-based artists for collaborative projects led by visual and performing artists, cultural organizers, collectives, collaboratives, and/or artist-run spaces. The fund will disperse $60,000 in project grants. Applications are due by April 15, 2024. Vendors & artisans wanted for the Sowebo Arts & Music Festival

The Sowebo Arts and Music Festival takes place from noon–8:00 p.m., on the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend in the streets surrounding the historic Hollins Market. This event is all about bringing together local music, visual artists, entertainers, great food, neighbors, and fun for all ages. Up to $20,000 in environmental project support for women artists

The Anonymous Was A Woman Environmental Art Grants awarded by the New York Foundation for the Arts provides up to $20,000 to support projects on environmental issues led by women-identifying artists in the United States and U.S. Territories. The funded project or phase of the project must be completed by August 2025. Year-long stipended residency program with free private studio space

Mudflat Studio in Somerville, Massachusetts, invites applications for its Year-Long Residency Program, a one-year position to clay artists. This highly competitive program includes private 90-square-foot studio space, 24/7 access, a monthly stipend of $75 to be applied to clay materials and firing costs, a monthly stipend of up to $800 for housing assistance, paid teaching opportunities, opportunities for retail sales at Open Studio events and at Mudflat Gallery, and a solo exhibition and reception at Mudflat in July to showcase work created during the residency year. Eight-week summer residency in Baltimore City

The Joshua Johnson Council (JJC) Artist in Residence (AIR) program will select two artists living and working in Baltimore City for the summer residency. Applicants are not required to be alumni of MICA. Selected artists are offered studio space for eight (8) weeks, access to MICA facilities, a materials stipend of $2,500, and the opportunity work with low-residency MICA graduate students. Reatreat space for working artists, scholars, & clergy

South Porch Artists Residency is a retreat space for working artists, scholars and clergy to pursue creative projects on a historic property in downtown Summerville, South Carolina. Up to six residents at a time are offered comfortable lodgings and studio work space. Residents apply for stays of one, two, three, or four weeks, arriving and departing on a Monday. Artists and thinkers, ages 21+, ranging from emerging to established, and working in variety of genres are welcome to apply. Deadline extended for NEA's Challenge America grant program

Challenge America, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts, offers support primarily to small organizations for projects that extend the reach of the arts to underserved groups and/or communities. Challenge America features an abbreviated application, a robust structure of technical assistance, and grants for a set amount of $10,000. Grants require a cost share/match of $10,000 consisting of cash and/or in-kind contributions. Total project costs must be at least $20,000 or greater. Artist-in-residence program in a national forest

The Challis Arts Council in Idaho is putting out a call for artists to participate in an Artist in Residence program. The program will connect artists with Forest Service employees to create a collaborative relationship, with the natural ecosystems, heritage, and wilderness that are abundant on the Salmon-Challis National Forest. Selected artists will stay in remote cabins that sit on the edge of wilderness. The length of the residency will run between 2–4 weeks during late June through September. Housing will be provided and possibly a stipend. Artists of all mediums are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be 18 years of age. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. on May 1, 2024. Click below to apply.

Thanks to support from organizations across the arts, heritage and cultural sector there are 16 bursaries available that cover the full cost of an in-person Arts Marketing Association (AMA) Conference 2024 delegate place.
