Join us to support Baltimore’s creative community and assist in our diverse programs — from flagship events like Artscape, Baltimore Book Festival, and The Baltimore Farmers' Market to special events like exhibitions and awards ceremonies. Volunteers are also often asked to serve as panelists for the many grant programs and prizes that BOPA manages. Vendors & artisans wanted

The Carroll County Arts Council has partnered with the City of Westminster for more than four decades to present Art in the Park. Made In Baltimore asks artists to submit design qualifications

Made In Baltimore has opened up a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to design new artwork for the shop's shirts, tote bags, and other products. The deadline to submit is midnight on April 28, 2024. One-year emerging artists program in new media & technology arts

Diriyah Art Futures emerging artists program attracts emerging creative practitioners from all over the world, with a focus on those from the Middle East and North Africa. Applicants should be 35 years or younger, at graduate or postgraduate completion stage and have experience in developing and creating digital and new media art. Applicants can expect an accessible space with exhibitions, screenings, and dedicated technical labs for professional creation & innovative digital development. Throughout the year, the center will host prestigious artists and international institutions engaged in new media and technology arts. The deadline is April 29, 2024. Apply for an emerging artist studio program in Howard County

The Howard County Arts Council is seeking applications from emerging and mid-career artists for whom a short-term artist studio may make a significant difference to their career development or completion of a project. The selected artist will fill one available artist studio space, approximately 216 square feet, sharing access with two other artists in adjoining studios, for $171/month from July 1, 2024–June 30, 2025. Yearlong Artist-in-Residence program at Chicago arts center

Lillstreet Art Center offers yearlong residencies in the departments of Ceramics and Metalsmithing, and nine-month residencies in Textiles, Drawing & Painting, and Printmaking & Book Arts beginning in September every year. All Artists-in-Residents are expected to teach within their departments and teaching hours are paid. AIRs can expect to teach anywhere between 1–3 classes per session. Lillstreet Art Center’s education calendar has five sessions per year. Online fellowship program that provides a $10,000 stipend

The Processing Foundation announces the open call for the 2024 Fellowship Program, themed "Sustaining Community: Expansion & Access." This year, we seek to support innovative projects from artists, designers, activists, educators, engineers, researchers, coders, collectives, and more, who are working at the intersection of creative technology, art, and open-source software. The fellowship provides a $10,000 stipend, dedicated mentorship, skill-building workshops, public programs, and community engagement opportunities. Two-and-a-half-year fellowship in collaboration with scientists

The Fireline Fellowship invites writers, artists, and thought leaders in the humanities to become part of a thinking community that, for two and a half years, will explore issues related to wildfire at the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest (the Andrews). In October 2024, fellows will meet in person with scientists and stay at the Andrews and then will meet quarterly online. Fellows will receive a stipend, opportunities to learn alongside scientists in the field, and up to four weeks of residency time at the Andrews. Fellows will develop new projects for a public audience and/or involving public engagement, and projects will be presented in collaboration with the Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Creative Arts (PRAx). The Hopper Prize a unrestricted artist grants

The Hopper Prize was established to provide grants, visibility, and career-enhancing validation to artists who demonstrate a serious commitment to their work. In this grant cycle, unrestricted grants of $3,500 will be awarded to two artists, and $1,000 will be awarded to four artists. Hopper curators also will select a shortlist of 60 artists annually to have their work archived at hopperprize.org. These elevated portfolio presentations are a growing resource for curators, gallery owners, collectors, and art enthusiasts. Grants for writers writing about contemporary visual art

A program of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the Arts Writers Grant Program supports emerging and established writers writing about contemporary visual art. Grants ranging between $15,000 and $50,000 will be awarded in three categories — articles, books, and short-form writing — in support of projects addressing both general and specialized art audiences. To be eligible, applicants must be at least 25 years old, a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S., or an individual with an O-I visa. The deadline to apply is May 15, 2024. Two opportunities for artists from the Rehoboth Art League

The Rehoboth Art League's Exhibitions Committee is organizing solo and group exhibitions for 2025. The Request for Proposals (RFP) is open to all artists, members and non-members. The deadline is midnight on July 21, 2024. Click below to submit.

A $25,000 poetry prize for published poetry books

The Academy of American Poets invites applications for the Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize, where $25,000 is awarded to an outstanding book of poetry published in the United States in the previous calendar year. Eligible entries include any original book of poetry written in English and published in the U.S. during 2024 in a standard edition (48 pages or more) by a living poet. Apply for a residency & fully-funded fellowships in Virginia

Since 1971, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) has provided uninterrupted time and space for artists to produce works of literature, visual art, and music. VCCA hosts more than 400 fellows each year at Mt. San Angelo in Amherst, Virginia, and the Moulin à Nef in Auvillar, France. Applicants will be considered for a VCCA residency and as many fully funded fellowships for which they are eligible. Grants for projects & enterprises controlled by youth

Grants from $500–5,000 are available from Youth As Resources for community building projects and social enterprises created and controlled by youth. Youth up to 23 years old are invited to apply for funds for community organizing projects aimed to address critical issues. Youth-owned businesses are also encouraged to apply. Youth applicants are required to attend one of the three workshops offered. Youth may choose to bring one optional adult supporter. The deadline is May 20, 2024. Exhibit for free at the Baltimore City Procurement Conference

The 2024 City of Baltimore Procurement Conference will take place on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the Baltimore Convention Center. Attendees will hear directly from procurement officials about opportunities for small, minority and women-owned businesses. There is no cost to exhibit at this conference and exhibitors will be provided with a 6-foot table and 2–3 chairs. Wi-Fi is available for a small fee. The deadline to reserve a spot is May 31, 2024. Creekside Arts accepting applications for fall writers residency

Creekside Arts Residencies provide an inspiring natural setting among the coastal redwoods of Northern California for a broad range of creative disciplines. Their programs provide each artist with fully equipped private living quarters and individual separate work/studio spaces. In addition to providing a space for solitary work, the program supports and encourages a collaborative atmosphere. Evening gatherings provide an opportunity to get to know the other resident artists as well as the permanent members of the Creekside Arts community.
