News & Highlights

Classroom Spotlight: Matthew Miller

Students in Mr. Miller’s math class have been working on the Pythagorean Theorem. Students began this unit learning how it is used to find missing side lengths of right triangles. Once they understood the basics, they moved on to applying the Pythagorean Theorem in various word problems. The unit concludes with using the Pythagorean Theorem to find distances on a coordinate plane. Students will use graph paper to find the distance between two given points just as they would on Ohio’s State Tests.
