Each week Bishop Kelly faculty and staff nominate students, and students nominate faculty and staff, who have demonstrated the BK Way attributes of Faith, Safe and Caring Place, Academic Excellence, Activities, Honor, Generosity, Community, and Partnership.
Congratulations to this week's Knights of the Week!

|
Emilia Alsop
Generosity
Emilia has both passionately and enthusiastically collected food for the food drive on her own. She has collected 572 points. The joy she has shown in doing this has been inspiring to me. Plus I don't think she is done yet!
| |
|
Eve Barry
Academic Excellence
Eve is a Candidate for a Special Scholarship to be awarded through the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. Eve takes rigorous classes and works hard in the classes. She is a great example of Academic Excellence!
| |
|
Madison Sharone
Safe and Caring Place, Generosity
- Madison acted quickly in a difficult situation at the school. Madison stayed calm and did the right thing. Thank you, Madison, for your efforts!
- Maddie FLOORED me today by bringing in a total of 201 points worth of food! We were sitting at a sad 100 or so points, and she brought us up. I feel like that level of generosity should be rewarded.

|
Domingo Lete
Community, Generosity
- Domingo is just a great human being. He brings a spirit of positivity and kindness to everything he does. In class, other students report that they wait for his contributions to serious discussions. At the same time, they also seek him out for his great sense of humor and insightful takes on popular culture. He truly builds community wherever he goes and we are blessed to have him at Bishop Kelly!
- Domingo is absolutely the kindest, most genuine person I know. He makes our school a better place just by being here; being kind to everyone and lighting up the halls and classrooms with his smile.

Festival of Trees
The Bishop Kelly Foundation joined forces with the Bishop Kelly High School Parents Association once again for an enchanting entry in St. Alphonsus Hospital System's annual Festival of Trees. Inspired by the poignant final quote from the Polar Express book, "The bell still rings for all who truly believe," our tree, aptly named "The Polar Express...I believe!," garnered a well-deserved 3rd place finish in the Amateur/Children's division! The credit for bringing this spectacular tree to life goes to a group of dedicated BK parents led by the talented Deanna Westmark. Special thanks to Adriana Ruplinger, Jamie Wegner, Alicia Stephens, and Stephanie Dahl for their invaluable contributions and beautiful craftsmanship. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for turning this vision into a reality.

Attendance Office Procedures | |
-
Parents are asked to email the school’s Attendance Office before 9:30am on the day a student will be absent from class for all or part of the school day due to an illness or an appointment. That email is attendance@bk.org
-
Bishop Kelly is a closed campus. If students need to leave school for any reason, parents must notify the Attendance Office by emailing attendance@bk.org before school.
- Students must sign-out when they leave campus during the school day, and sign back in when they return. They will be asked for verification of any professional appointments upon returning to school. (i.e. a doctor’s note)
