Over 140 leaders in education gathered in Kansas City on January 18 and 19 to renew their excitement for leading staff, students, and families. Attendees from 34 school districts represented six states: Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, and Virginia. During the event, attendees were challenged to create a culture of care in their buildings and encouraged to spend time in conversation with their team as well as network with other leaders.
BIST consultants led site visits to ten different schools across the Kansas City metro to allow participants to see BIST in action. These visits included student-led tours, overviews of BIST team reviewing plans, conversations with staff and students, and Q&A time with administrators.
On Friday, the conference centered around the topics of sustainable culture change and impacting families.
