VACATION REQUEST (REMINDER)

Did you know that you can put in for time off more than 30 days before the requested vacation dates?

In fact, for summer and holiday vacations, JNESO encourages you to request off as soon as possible. Bishop must still respond no later than 14 days after your request was submitted. Bishop cannot wait to respond during the month that you wish to take the vacation.

For example, If you want to take a vacation during the July 4th week. You could submit a written request for that time on March 1st. If by March 15th, you did not receive a response (either approved or denied), send a text or email to your scheduler requesting an immediate response.

JNESO MUST IMMEDIATELY GRIEVE THAT BISHOP IS NOT FOLLOWING THE CONTRACT!

In the above instance, on March 16th, you would send an email to your Labor Rep. Ellena Osborne (below). Be sure to include:

  • A copy of the Vacation request (email or text); and
  • A copy of the (email or text) denial
