I'm delighted to introduce you to Vanessa Wood, our new Regional Property Manager. Though the role is new, Vanessa is already an integral part of the BIC family, having managed our Darlington sites Business Central and Innovation Central since day one. Her new role reflects our preparation for future growth of our property and services.

We're investing in improving our sites and working with existing and new partners, both public and private, to continue delivering more of our unique flexible workspace and support as regional demand continues to outstrip supply.

Are you a growing SME based in the Sunderland City Council area? You could be eligible for a Sunderland Business Support Grant to help pay for business support where external expertise will help your business grow or become more resilient. Grants are available for projects costing between £3,000 and £6,000 and the fund covers up to 40% of eligible spend. Applying is straightforward and you'll get a decision within a few weeks.

We were honoured to be shortlisted as a finalist in the Excellence in Supporting Armed Forces Talent category at the HR & D Awards this month. Although we missed out to Bloom Procurement, representatives from our own Veterans RV programme were delighted to attend the event held at The Fed in Gateshead.

The evening was a glamorous 1920s black tie affair, creating an atmosphere of elegance and celebration. The team felt privileged to be among so many other fantastic businesses, making the night a memorable occasion for all involved. To hear about the efforts that so many businesses are making across the region to improve the working lives of others and grow our economy was truly inspirational.
