Daryl Takamiya
BIA Hawaii President
BIA Hawaii 2022 President

I am honored to be the BIA Hawaii President for 2022. While the events of the past two years have been unprecedented, the building industry continues to be a primary driver of Hawaii's economy.

BIA works to bring value to our members through legislative advocacy, educational offerings, networking, events and awards. We are proud of members' accomplishments and grateful to our sponsors and supporters. Here's to a great 2022!
We've Set the New Date!
BIA’s BIG Show April 29 – May 1, 2022
Neal S. Blaisdell Center
BIA’s BIG Home Building & Remodeling Show has been rescheduled for April 29 – May 1, 2022. The planned January dates were pushed back due to the Mayor’s recent announcement limiting large indoor events to 50% capacity.

We will continue to monitor guidelines that could impact the event, as well as COVID-19 trends in the community. However, we are confident that the event will go on safely.

Don’t miss our seminars, vendors and there’s even something for the kids. Join us to see what Hawaii’s homebuilding industry has to offer. The price to attend is $8. Kids 12 and under are free.

We look forward to seeing you!

Industry Elite Partners

What is an Industry Elite Partner? In celebration of BIA’s 66th year, we’ve developed the Industry Elite Partnership, where an exclusive number of elite industry professionals commit to a sponsorship of 5 years minimum. Industry Elite Partners receive representation at every event, in every association promotion, and in every publication. Industry Elite Partners sit on an informal advisory committee to the CEO and sitting President, gathering twice a year to discuss association activities as necessary for critical or hot topics. This partnership is available in a limited quantity to those individuals and members who want to contribute to the longevity, breadth, and capacity of BIA Hawaii to execute its Strategic Plan, and who simply love and support the organization.

For questions about this partnership opportunity and others to suit you individual needs, contact Jess at jess@biahawaii.org or call 808-847-4666

About the Employment & Training Fund. In 1991, the State Legislature established the ETF program to address the growing need to upgrade the job skills of Hawaii's workforce, created as part of a national movement that swept the country in the 1980s. Investing in human capital to improve productivity and the nation's quality of goods and services became a top priority. The Employer Referral ("micro") program is for individual businesses that need to upgrade the job skills of their employees.
