BIA’s BIG Home Show April 29 – May 1, 2022

BIA's BIG Home Shows are an Island favorite. We are so excited to see everyone in person to meet and network with perspective new clients and customers and enjoy all of the perks of gathering in person once again. Safety is first and all mandated protocols will be followed.
 
Don’t miss our seminars and vendors and see what Hawaii’s homebuilding industry has to offer. The price to attend is $8. Kids 12 and under are free.

Two BIA Member Events In February
You are Invited - February 17, 3:30pm at the BIA Waipahu office for Pau Hana Pairing BIA's first networking event of the year. Meet the 2022 BIA board of directors, CEO and fellow members while enjoying some interesting chocolate pairings.
Join us on February 24 at 9:30am at the BIA Waipahu office for a Morning Membership Mixer featuring a Mimosa Bar, Pastries, Tea & Coffee. Mingle with the BIA board of directors, CEO and fellow members.
Marketing & Sales for Building Professionals. Customers today are both demanding and selective and, thanks to technology, they are very well educated. How do you stand out from the crowd and make your brand relevant? This course gives you an overview of the many types of marketing and sales tools to help you build your unique brand.
Construction Quality Management is limited to four (4) attendees per company per course. Other contractor personnel wishing to attend the class will be placed on a waitlist. Army Corps of Engineers will review any special requirements on a case-by-case basis. Only an appointed QC Manager is required to attend and successfully complete this training.
CAPS I: Marketing & Communication Strategies for Aging & Accessibility. Millions of Americans are living longer and more active lives, and with their changing lifestyles, maturing Americans are also looking to revitalize their home environments. Identifying these opportunities and developing the skills to interact with 50+ customers can help you grow your business dramatically.
CAPS II: Design/Build Solutions for Aging and Accessibility. As the U.S. baby boomer population consumer group expands, more and more are interested in remodeling their home to fit their new lifestyle and abilities.This course will help you understand the guidelines and requirements of accessibility.
CAPS III: Details & Solutions for Livable Homes and Aging in Place. This course builds on CAPS I & II by introducing design solutions techniques, innovative products and best practices for product installation. Participants will engage in hands-on activities from real case studies to apply material learned in all CAPS courses.

The Construction Training Center of the Pacific (CTC) is a one-stop comprehensive training and educational resource center established by the Building Industry Association of Hawaii as its workforce development arm. The CTC provides academic and vocational training, career counseling, job awareness, and related supportive services that address critical labor shortages in the rapidly expanding construction industry.

BIA Hawaii offers a full range of seminars and continuing education classes to empower you and your employees with the latest information on industry standards.

SELECT Education Class Fees Can Be Paid By ETF

About the Employment & Training Fund. In 1991, the State Legislature established the ETF program to address the growing need to upgrade the job skills of Hawaii's workforce, created as part of a national movement that swept the country in the 1980s. Investing in human capital to improve productivity and the nation's quality of goods and services became a top priority. The Employer Referral ("micro") program is for individual businesses that need to upgrade the job skills of their employees. 
 
BIA Hawaii is an approved Training Provider. ETF will cover 50% of the Non-Member course fee rate for select courses, up to a maximum of $400.
