Under Florida Law (Chapter 489 Part II) All those engaged in the Installation, Servicing, Inspection and Sales of Security Systems (Fire, Burglar, Access, CCTV) including those whom schedule of behalf of and have access to customer files shall within 90 days of employment participate in an approved BASA-FASA course and will every 2 years participate in an approved renewal course. Those organizations and or companies found to be non-compliant can face disciplinary action which can lead to suspension of or the revoking of the licensing of that organization and or company and can be prosecuted as a First degree misdemeanor (1 year in jail, $1000.00 fine) per occurrence.

Many new laws have gone into effect as of January 1st. One such law is an expansion of the "Move Over Law". The Move Over Law has been in effect for some time now where drivers have to move over or slow down for law enforcement and emergency vehicles. It now also includes all vehicles with emergency lights and or signal flares.
