BHA's Board Candidate Forum

Monday, December 11, at 1:30pm

Public Safety Complex Multipurpose Room

Submit your questions for BHA Board candidates today!


BHA will host its inaugural BHA Board Candidate Forum on Monday, December 11, at 1:30pm at the Public Safety Complex multipurpose room (273 Edward Teach Ext.). The forum will be held in-person and online via Zoom. The recording will be posted within 24 hours after the event. The forum will be managed, timed and moderated by Vicky Janowski, Editor, Greater Wilmington Business Journal and WILMA Magazine.

Click HERE to submit your questions for the Board candidates — deadline is Friday, December 8, 12:00pm!

Questions submitted for the Board candidates go directly to Vicky prior to the event, and she will be the only person to see these questions prior to the event. No candidates will receive the questions in advance. No questions will be accepted that are directed to only one candidate. Instead, all questions will be sorted so that they are appropriate for all candidates. There will be no live questions allowed during the event.

Christmas Caroling

Friday, December 8, 5:00-7:00pm


The Village Chapel of BHI will be conducting a Christmas Caroling event on Friday, December 8, from 5:00-7:00pm to spread some holiday cheer, with selected homes and locations (Public Safety, BHI and Shoals Clubs) across the Island. Our last stop will be at the BHI Club, where we will sing Christmas carols and enjoy a dinner (pay-as-you-go) afterward. Transport across the Island will be via trams. We will meet at the Village Chapel no later than 4:45pm and depart promptly at 5:00pm. Caroling books will be provided, and no singing experience is necessary! If you would like to sign up to join us, please email Mary Mears at marymears@bellsouth.net no later than December 5 to sign up and for any questions. 

Village Chapel Choir's Christmas Musicale

Sunday, December 10, at 3:00pm

Village Chapel of BHI


The Village Chapel Choir will host a Christmas Musicale on Sunday, December 10, at 3:00pm. The program will include solos, ensembles, instrumentals and choral presentations, with Bill Moser on the trumpet, Mary Mears playing flute and Dianne Stanley at the organ. Mark your calendars for an hour of joyous Christmas music at the Village Chapel! Community Potluck Dinner

Monday, December 11

Relocated to Marsh Harbour Inn

Featured Speaker Postponed


Join your BHI friends and neighbors for the final Community Potluck Dinner of 2023! It will be held on Monday, December 11, at 6:00pm and has been relocated to the Marsh Harbour Inn (21 Keelson Row). Just bring a dish to share and your favorite beverage.


Note that featured speaker Chris Shank, BHI Conservancy Executive Director, has been postponed for a future Community Potluck Dinner.

BHA Office Closed

For Christmas and New Year's Holidays


BHA's office will be closed for the Christmas holiday December 25-26. The office will reopen with its regular hours of 9:00am-4:00pm on December 27. The office will be closed for New Year's on January 1, with the office reopening on January 2.

Yoga Classes

Restarting in 2024

Relocation TBD


Yoga classes are taught by Pam Moulin on Mondays and Wednesdays, 11:45am-1:00pm. Watch for announcements about restarting classes in 2024. The new location is yet to be determined. For updates, check BHA's online events calendar HERE.


Pam has 36 years of experience as a fitness instructor and 19 years of experience as a yoga instructor, and she's been teaching yoga on Bald Head Island for 13 years. All levels are welcome. Classes are $20, and participants must bring their own yoga mat. Pam requires that all participants show proof of vaccination against Covid-19. For all new participants, it's strongly suggested to email Pam beforehand (and let her know of any physical limitations) at pammoulin@ec.rr.com.

Village Chapel of BHI's Angel Tree


Due to the overwhelming generosity of the Bald Head Island community, all 150 of the 2023 Angel Tree tags have been claimed! The Village Chapel Community Outreach team asks that if you would like to donate directly to Brunswick Family Assistance, donation boxes can be found at the Village Chapel, Jules' Salty Grub & Island Pub and Salty Paws. Your donation will directly benefit those in need this year. Thank you!

Monthly BHA Board Meetings

BHA's Board of Directors invites property owners and others to join its monthly public meetings in person or remotely via Zoom. Board meetings are typically held the second Friday of each month beginning at 11:00am EDT. Agendas, approved minutes of previous meetings and a link to the current monthly Zoom meeting can be found on the meeting information web page. Click on the link below to learn more.


(NOTE: the new, temporary location will be the Chandler Building in the BHI Harbour.) The next BHA Board meeting public session is scheduled for Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00am at the Chandler Building in the BHI Harbour.
