SOFWERX is a Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) between the Department of Defense United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and Defensewerx. The SOFWERX program has recently begun the Tech Tuesday platform for innovators to highlight their capabilities in a 30-minute pitch to government stakeholders.

NIH awardees must report
possible research misconduct
You’ll need to file an annual report by April 30, 2022. That includes reporting any allegations of research misconduct to the Office of Research Integrity (ORI). You’ll also need to have a written policy regarding research misconduct. But how do you do that?
NIH raises salary cap
The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 restricts the amount of direct salary to Executive Level II of the Federal Executive pay scale. The Office of Personnel Management released new salary levels and effective January 2, 2022, the salary cap
for Executive Level II is now $203,700.
DOD announces new funding initiative
The National Security Innovation Capital (NSIC) helps dual-use hardware startup companies advance their product’s transition to market by addressing the shortfall of private investment from trusted sources. NSIC is focused on next-generation hardware for application to connected mobile and edge systems for operations in land, sea, air, and space domains.
