Good news! Professional Growth Exams (exams for existing BATs to meet their requirement) will re-open this summer at both our Auburn and Spokane locations following Green River College’s strict safety protocols surrounding COVID19. Safety measures include examining in larger rooms, increased social distancing, masks, and gloves. 

Following Washington’s COVID-19 protocols, Washington Certification Services proctors cannot administrate certification examinations when experiencing any type of illness. Green River College could also shut down in-person activities due to COVID-19 exposure or changing government regulations. As we take every precaution to keep our exams safe and on schedule, examination cancellations are still possible, and may occur with very little advance notice.

Should changes in your scheduled examination occur, please ensure we have your personal cell phone on file for our staff to reach you if necessary, especially on your exam day. WCS will contact you at the phone number you provided on your examination application. If this is an employer or another person’s phone number, it is your responsibility to confirm we can reach you on your examination day. Providing your personal cell phone number is highly recommended!

The final days are approaching to pay your renewal fee for 2021. Unsure if you’ve already paid? Login to the online system- the system will let you pay if you have not already and will inform you if we’ve received payment. Payments are not accepted after the deadline passes; your certification will expire. Already paid? Print your 2021 validation card online.

In an effort to better support women who are pursuing a BAT certification during these financially challenging times, the deadline for the Fred Delvecchio BAT Certification Award has been extended to March 31, 2021. Award recipients get the option of a 5-Day BAT Certification Training Course provided through WETRC (optional, applicants can choose to take the exam only) and the $200 fee waived once for the BAT practical exam (written exam not included). If you know a woman not currently certified as a BAT, has a high school diploma/GED, and isn’t currently enrolled in a BAT exam, encourage them to apply here in order to take advantage of this generous opportunity!
