Freight shipper A. Duie Pyle's 22 service centers, nine warehouses, and a fleet of more than 1,000 trucks all but demanded a system overhaul from one far too reliant upon paper documentation and double entry. But rather than scrapping the old but still efficient business management software, they solicited the help of BASIS. The result was a new graphical touchscreen mobile and desktop application with backward compatibility preserving years of A. Duie Pyle's investments in BASIS technology. Previous efficiencies were preserved while also enabling modern SQL access, adding decision support for the operations teams, and delivering paperless delivery routes to a driver's handheld unit.
