Dear Beloveds in Christ,
Happy Birthday to the Church!
This Sunday is the Feast of Pentecost when we celebrate the arrival of the Holy Spirit to the apostles and followers of Jesus. From the witness of their time with Jesus and the courage, wisdom and empowerment they received from the Spirit, they were able to go out into the world and proclaim the Good News of God’s love for all peoples made known through Jesus.
There is a beautiful anthem for Pentecost our Cathedral will be performing with lyrics by Patricia Blaze Clark; these words/prayer better describe what I could name and pray for what the Holy Spirit can continue to bring:
“Spirit, moving over chaos, Breath, instilling animation,
bringing light where there was none, giving life, informing soul,
be to us a light, revealing breathe into all our beings
where the work is to be done. life that makes the Body whole.
Praise to God, among us dwelling, Praise to God, among us dwelling:
praise the Spirit giving light. praise the Spirit giving life.
Power, Lifeforce, Inspiration, Wind, inflaming fear filled bodies,
blowing, breathing, brooding here, sending them to tell the News,
call, enliven, and empower fire anew your church’s spirit,
for your work, both far and near. show the path we ought to choose.
Praise to God, among us dwelling, Praise to God, among us dwelling,
praise the Spirit giving strength. praise the Spirit giving fire. “
May you be infused with the life-giving power of the Spirit now and always,
Kate+

Priest-In-Charge Search Update
We have received the names of two possible candidates and are in very early conversations with them. In upcoming weeks, we will have a better idea of whether either of the candidates will be a "fit" for St. Peter's and vice versa. We will keep the community posted.

Thank you to all who donated diapers to benefit the Waltham Diaper Depot.
The 2,700 diapers combined with $1,000 that St. Peter’s Outreach Committee contributed will supply one month’s worth of much needed diapers to Waltham families. Please know how much these families need and appreciate these expensive and necessary items.
I feel blessed to be a part of such a generous and loving community.
Thank you,
Anne Ruggles
