AzNMA Announces New Executive Director

The Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AzNMA) announces that after eight years of service to the organization, Executive Director Baron Glassgow will retire in December 2024. "Baron’s positive impact on the organization has been tremendous," said AzNMA Board Chair Dr. Kasey Nichols, NMD. "His vision, business acumen, and continual passion for the role of naturopathic physicians in improving the health and longevity of Arizonans has guided all organizational activities through tremendous growth, elevating AzNMA through numerous initiatives that advanced the profession at the state and national level.”

In November, Tracilyn MacKenzie Hobson, JD, LLM, will join the AzNMA as its incoming Executive Director (ED). Ms. Hobson is a legal and nonprofit professional with more than 25 years of experience serving a variety of nonprofit, governmental, and private entities, including five years of service as the Director of State Relations for the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). From 2016 - 2020, the primary purpose of her role with the national naturopathic medical association was to create a pipeline of state associations of Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) and help them progress toward licensure of naturopathic physicians in their respective states. During her tenure with the AANP, efforts to pass legislation to regulate naturopathic physicians were successful in five states.

"The AzNMA Board of Directors is excited that Traci is taking the reins and will lead the organization into its next phase," said Dr. Nichols. "Traci brings a wealth of experience and a vision for the future that will build on AzNMA's past accomplishments and chart the course for success in the years to come."
