2024 grant letters of intent due January 26


The Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County (WGF) is accepting letters of intent for grants it will award in 2024. The WGF will award grants up to $20,000 each for selected programs or projects.


Each year, the WGF awards grants to local nonprofit agencies to support projects and programs that provide opportunities for women and girls of all ages. Grants are awarded for specific, measurable programs that advance the health and well-being, self-sufficiency and empowerment of women and girls in Waukesha County. In addition to our annual grant cycle, we have secured additional funding for special one-time grant programs focused on mental health, particularly school aged girls in Waukesha County.


Letters of intent for 2024 grants are due by noon on Friday, January 26, 2024. Applicants may submit letters of intent for more than one program or project. Applicants will be notified by Tuesday, February 20, 2024, if they are selected to submit a full grant proposal.

2024 Women of Distinction Award nominations due January 31


Who inspires you by her initiative, selfless dedication and the impact she makes in the lives of others in Waukesha County. Do you know a woman who should be honored as a Woman of Distinction or a Young Woman of Tomorrow?


The Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County is seeking nominations for its prestigious 2024 awards:


  • Woman of Distinction award honoring exceptional women whose vision, leadership and service positively impact the Waukesha community.

      

  • Young Woman of Tomorrow award recognizing a young woman in high school, college or advanced training in Waukesha County, under age 25, who demonstrates sustained excellence, accomplishments and creativity through academic and extracurricular involvement.


The 2024 award honorees will be recognized at the 40th annual Women of Distinction luncheon on Friday, May 17, 2024 at the Brookfield Conference Center.

The Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County, established in 2004, seeks to aid and enrich the lives of women and girls so they become thriving residents of their communities. Since its inception, the Women and Girls Fund has awarded more than $1.6 million to nonprofit organizations that promote the health and well-being, self-sufficiency and empowerment of women and girls of all ages.
