Two years ago, Ave Maria School of Law founded and initiated the Coach Rod Smith Business Law Institute (the “BLI”), which offers students the opportunity to learn and experience the practice of business and corporate law at the highest level. The objective of the BLI is to bring together business leaders, scholars, attorneys, and students to engage in the study, teaching, and practice of business law, with a unique Ave Maria Law perspective. Our first two years were a success, and we look forward to continued growth and achievements with the newest cohort of BLI fellows.
Smith Fellows are required to take “Business Organizations” in the Fall of their 2L year, and a special BLI seminar in the Spring of their 2L year. In the summer between their 2L and 3L years, Smith Fellows will be placed with a General Counsel’s office. Such placement is unique
