Originally from Gujarat, India, Parry actually grew up in the rubber industry. His family has owned a tread rubber manufacturing business for over 25 years!
Parry received his BBA in India and his MBA in Marketing and International Business from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island.
To kick start his rubber career, Parry was an intern here at ARP Materials for about a year back in 2016. "I gained valuable experience with amazing mentors and friends and ARP", Parry described. "It was a great introduction to the distribution world and to better understand the US market."

Parry and Isha on their wedding day,
March 21st, 2020
|
|
To further his experience and knowledge, Parry went back to India for two years and worked at Fishfa Rubbers, one of the largest manufacturers of Butyl reclaim in the world (they offer whole tire and EPDM reclaim as well).
Returning back to ARP in 2019, he is now our Channel Director in charge of the Butyl Rubber product line. He performs market research and heavily assists our sales team with various reporting and initiatives.
CONGRATULATIONS to Parry and Isha on their wedding earlier this year! They married in Allentown, PA back in March. Together, they enjoy tennis, cricket, hiking and traveling. Best wishes for a healthy and happy life together!

PRODUCT OF THE MONTH - CARBON BLACK
|
|
Virgin Carbon Black from Phillips Carbon Black
"Rubber Black" is a major reinforcing filler used in rubber compounds, used in numerous rubber applications. For the tire industry, carbon black helps conduct heat away from the tread and belt area of the tire, reducing thermal damage and increasing tire life.
The most popular, general purpose grades include Orient Black® N330, N550, N650, along with two of the 700 series grades, N762, N774.
|
|
Orient Black® N330 - used in tire tread, tire casings, solid tires, conveyor belts, rollers and other molded rubber goods. Properties include abrasion resistance, hysteresis and viscosity properties.
Orient Black® N550 - used in inner tire liners, tubing, carcass, profiles, hoses, hose covers, cable jacketing and plastic conduit compounds. Properties include excellent dimensional stability, moderate wear resistance and good rubber processing.
Orient Black® N650 - used in extruded profiles, hoses, hose coverings and cable jacketing. Properties include good dispersion in rubber matrix with a combination of good dynamic and low heat properties.
Orient Black® N762 - used as a reinforcing filler for seals and gaskets, extruded belts, hoses, inner tire liners, tubes and other extruded goods. Provides excellent processability.
Orient Black® N774 - used as a reinforcing filler for belting, moldings, hoses, hose cover, inner tire liners, tubes and other profiles. This grades also provides excellent processability.
"Specialty Blacks" are carbon blacks used for non-rubber applications. Specialty Blacks are primarily used as a pigment in plastics, inks, coatings and many other applications. This is also used for high technology applications like rechargeable batteries, premium automotive coatings, conductive & ESD. Produced with special types of raw materials, reactor, operating conditions and technology, Specialty Blacks are known for the difficult-to-achieve properties like UV resistance, better dispersion in polymer matrix, conductivity, high color strength and aesthetics.
Phillips Carbon Black offers 23 grades of Rubber Black providing a range of properties needed for your application. All products are REACH compliant.

Recovered Carbon Black from Delta-Energy
Recovered Carbon Black is produced from the DEPolymerization process that allows Delta-Energy to recover carbon black from end-of-life tires. Their plant can process 3 million tires each year!
Phoenix Black® supplements the use of virgin carbon black and is a versatile, economic, reinforcing agent in rubber. In thermal black applications requiring low reinforcement, use of Phoenix Black® also reduces risk of mold tear, potentially increasing yields and reducing waste.
Why use Recovered Carbon Black?
- This product meets the demanding performance requirements at a lower price
- The recovering process emits up to 85% less greenhouse gases than virgin production.
How much DE-Black can you use?
Every rubber application is different so it depends on your formula's performance requirements. Call us today to discuss the ways you can incorporate recovered carbon black into your formula!
