Caregiver Cafés Return to In-Person! |

We are very happy to share that our monthly Caregiver Cafés have returned to their library homes this autumn and are back to meeting in person! The Caregiver Cafés provide support, education and companionship to family caregivers in the community. |

Lights of Love Will Be Shining Brightly |

36th Annual Jane Cooper Fall Lights of Love Event |

Our virtual event will be available for viewing starting at 4:30 on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, and can be viewed throughout the holiday season. This year, our virtual event includes beautiful music from the Granite State Choral Society and The Witherell Bells from the First United Methodist Church in Rochester.
After December 7th, the community is welcome to visit our Lights of Love display at 178 Farmington Road, Rochester, NH.

Thank You to The Cocheco Quilters Guild |
The Cocheco Quilters Guild generously donated two dozen quilts for us to gift to our most needy patients over the holiday season. These wonderful quilters also donated three beautiful quilts to raffle off to our staff, our healthcare heroes. They shared with us that Cornerstone VNA comes up often in conversation about the work we do in the community and care provided. They are very grateful for our staff.

A huge thank you to our friends at The Fabulous Find for awarding us a check in the amount of $8,516.16 as one of the four nonprofit recipients for the month of October!
The Fabulous Find is a resale boutique on 139 State Road in Kittery, Maine that makes grants to area non-profits. Each month, its sales benefit Seacoast region organizations serving the community. It is quite a FABULOUS place making a FABULOUS difference!

Petal It Forward With Studley Flower Garden |
October 19th was Petal It Forward Day. A tremendous thank you to Studley Flower Gardens for partnering with Cornerstone VNA on this beautiful initiative! Studley delivered flower bouquets for our field staff to bring to patients throughout the day. Patients received one bouquet to keep and another bouquet to share with a friend to continue to Petal it Forward!
This “pay it forward” gesture was embraced on a national level by thousands of florists who are members of the American Society of Florists. We were so honored to participate and bring joy to our patients!

A Matter of Balance Classes |

Our coaches recently completed an A Matter of Balance training at Rochester East apartments. The A Matter of Balance program is a proven program designed to help people
manage concerns about falls and increase physical activity. Our volunteer Balance Coaches help participants become more confident about managing falls and help them identify ways to reduce them. We are so proud of our Hospice volunteer Jim McKenna who received a Spirit of NH award from Volunteer NH at their award ceremony November 16.
According to Katie Scanlon LeBlanc, Hospice Chaplain, "Jim has been a quiet gentle influence of support to our patients, families as well as our team." Jim is seen here with Maureen Steer, MDiv, our Holistic Disciplines Manager.
