Autumn 2019
Current Connection newsletter is now available on-line

Read about Winter fun around the Lake, getting involved in the Lake Partner Program, the Muskoka River Water Management Plan, and lots more.

Members who have asked for the newsletter by mail, will receive it in a couple of weeks.
Closing up the Cottage this weekend?
Here are a few Best Practices for your dock and boathouse

  1. Clear your dock of all unsecured items including chairs, tables, umbrellas, planter boxes, lights, etc.
  2. Flip up or remove dock ladders.
  3. Check and tighten all bolts and screws as they may have become loose from wood shrinkage and motion.
  4. Consider affixing your name, address and phone number to any section of the dock that could come loose in high waters.
  5. Remove all non-critical, potentially polluting items (paint cans, gas cans, etc.) from the boathouse.
  6. To the extent possible, elevate and secure all remaining items.
  7. Unplug all non-critical electrical items.
  8. Lower tops on all boats in a boathouse.
  9. Leave boathouse doors partially raised to allow for high waves and ice movement.

And remember, both the  Baysville Dorset Winter Pantry  and the  Dwight Winter Pantry  need your donations of unopened,
non-perishable foods.
Please no expired products.
There are numerous drop-off locations including LCBOs in
Dwight, Dorset and Baysville.

Happy Thanksgiving
