Authorized Agent Certification Workshops now available

Registration for the 2017 series of Authorized Agent Certification Workshops is now open.

These employer workshops are specifically designed for Authorized Agents and other employer representatives that may execute IMRF functions. Each one-day training session features detailed information about standard IMRF processes, including enrollment, payroll reporting, benefit applications, and various member inquiries. Continental breakfast and a light lunch will be served at each session.

Authorized Agent Certification Workshops are held throughout the state from 9 AM to 3 PM. Log into your Employer Access account to review the complete workshop schedule and to register.

ILPEx Conference and Awards Ceremony
taking place March 30

IMRF employers are encouraged to attend the ILPEx Conference and Awards Ceremony taking place Thursday, March 30, at the Hyatt Lodge at Hamburger University in Oak Brook. The conference takes place at 10 AM; the Recognition Program Awards Ceremony will begin at 5 PM.

ILPEx's mission is to advance Illinois organizations' capability and knowledge of performance excellence by delivering consultation, instruction, and assessments within the framework of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence.

The ILPEx Recognition Program Best Practices Conference features recipients of the 2015 ILPEx Awards for Excellence as they share their stories of performance improvement using the Baldrige Excellence Framework. Highlighted organizations include: American College of Healthcare Executives (Chicago); HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital (Effingham); Integrated Project Management, Inc. (Burr Ridge); National Express LLC (Warrenville); and St. Anthony Hospital (Chicago).

Alyson Young will be the keynote speaker of this year's ILPEx Recognition Program Awards Ceremony. Young leads Team Member Relations, Branding, and External Learning at K&N Management, a 2010 Baldrige National Quality Award Recipient. Additionally, the following 2016 ILPEx Award recipients will be recognized: American College of Healthcare Executives (Chicago); Concentric AB (Rockford); Community Consolidated School District 93 (Bloomingdale) ; Elmhurst Hospital (Elmhurst); HSHS St. Francis Hospital (Litchfield); and National Express LLC (Warrenville) .

IMRF is a multiple winner of the ILPEx Silver Award for "Progress Toward Excellence."

Lou's Road to Retirement:

The Announcement

IMRF recently announced the retirement of Executive Director Louis W. Kosiba. To acknowledge Kosiba's retirement, IMRF has launched an engaging series entitled "Lou's Road to Retirement." This series will provide members and employers a closer look at the steps and considerations involved in one person's journey toward IMRF's retirement, and provide a chance to get to know our Executive Director as he embarks on his retirement voyage.
