Member Spotlight: Christi Dees

"I started with boot camp about 5 years ago. And slowly over time I started to attend the other classes. In January Ian convinced me I should sign up the the 4x7. I honestly didn’t think I could do it!! I pushed though and when COVID19 hit I started with the Zoom classes 5 days a week. The noon class has been my home!! I love the connection, friendships, and challenging myself to do hard things. I have learned so much about myself, I am stronger both inside and out thanks to the trainers at FTR!!"

Healthy, fresh, sustainable food... That's a STEAL!

Our Food to Recover garden is bursting with produce these days, and we have been harvesting it regularly for our meal prep meals.
Thank you to those who have helped to maintain our garden by participating in Community Gardening Days, where we collect our garden goodies and pluck the unwanted weeds.

And don't forget about our 1-1 Nutrition Counseling with our FTR dietitian.
Our quarantine and social distancing measures may be affecting your nutrition habits, your relationship with food, or your overall health.
If you want to talk through some of these challenges, and work together on sustainable solutions with personal accountability, we've got the gal for you! Our dietitian Rose has extended experience working 1-1 with clients and is available to help YOU today!

We offer VERY affordable pricing and we are willing to work with you around pricing, if needed. Please contact Rose for pricing: Rose@fit2recover.org.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
August: Soap2Hope
In August, Fit To Recover is partnering with our fellow nonprofit, Soap2hope, to support their efforts of offering resources, advocacy, and love to those who have been sexually exploited, trafficked, or working the sex trade.
We believe that their mission-- to spread messages of hope and love-- is more important than ever.
At FTR, you can share a hand written message that we can give to Soap2Hope to put in donation bags.
We are also asking for trial size hygiene products, small bags, backpacks or purses. Or, monetary donations are always accepted for their cause. We will be collecting these items until August 15th.
If you have any questions please contact Maara at FTR or call the gym at 801.410.8988.
Let's all do our part of spreading some love and taking care of our community!
Mark Miller Member Spotlight

Our partners in Service, Mark Miller Subaru, have already donated 5 scholarships to people in our community that couldn’t afford memberships.
FTR community member, Austin, has been coming to FTR for a little over a month. He was given one of the 6-month scholarships donated by Mark Miller Subaru and has been coming to class at least 3 times a week. He says that FTR helps him clear his mind and makes him feel at ease.
Even on a bad day, Austin says he can walk in the doors and feels like everything is ok. He's able to leave everything else at the door, and connect with people in recovery in a positive environment.
Don't forget, FTR is in Park City!
