Join Us for Sculpture Walk

August 17th - 18th

Now in its 4th year, Sculpture Walk is a partnership between the Arboretum and the Northwest Stone Sculptors Association. Approximately 24 sculptures will be on display throughout the Arboretum from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. Work is available to purchase directly from the artists. Held the same weekend as Fresh Paint and free to the public, visitors can enjoy a weekend full of art.

The Arboretum will close to the public at 5 p.m. on Saturday for a special event. If you're a member or volunteer you should have received an evite invitation to a reception for artists, members, and volunteers from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Space is limited, so RSVP soon. It's an opportunity to enjoy appetizers, drinks, music, and talk to some of the sculptors. If you are a member or volunteer and didn't receive an invitation, email us at contactus@evergreenarboretum.com to verify your status.

Not a member or volunteer but want to join and attend the reception? Join by August 7th and send us an email to let us know you'd like an invitation. Use the buttons below.

Maybe the Best Summer Fest Ever

Art on the Viewing Mound

Learning to jump rope with the pros from Rain City Rope Works

Just one of three craft projects

With music by Marco Cortes, a multiplicity of arts and crafts options, a demonstration of just how exciting jump roping can be by Rain City Rope Works, a hands-on experience with bugs thanks to Sharon Coleman and the Master Gardeners, face painting with the Imagine Children's Museum, offerings from Dawson Place and the Everett Public Library--it was a terrific afternoon. And did I mention ice cream from Big Yay Ice Cream? And scavenger hunts? And a pollinator table by Sunnyside Nursery? And photo boards?

Behind the Scenes at Summer Fest

In addition to all the Arboretum volunteers needed to greet visitors, provide handouts, help with the crafts tables, and make popcorn, we want to thank those who help behind the scenes. Asa Sholdez of the Everett Parks and Facilities Department delivers tables and chairs and then takes them all back with a smile. Members of the Everett High School basketball team once again showed up to move all those tables, chairs, and photo boards to their places in the gardens. Go Seagulls!

Asa Sholdez of the Parks Department brings all the tables and chairs we need--and then cheerfully takes them away.

These boards are heavy, but this student makes it look easy.

A huge thank you to the Everett High basketball team for carrying the tables, chairs, and photo boards out and then back again.

Sparks Fly in the Classroom--

or at least static electricity does!

The Imagine Children's Museum is back in the Arboretum, this time with a Van de Graff generator. We're delighted to have hosted three classes this summer. Our partnership with the Museum helps further our mission to provide educational opportunities for all ages. ICM's creative instructors use the classroom and the Arboretum itself to teach children science through their Bees & Botany and Little Scientists programs.

Partnerships such as this also expand our visibility in the community. Thanks, Imagine, for making this happen.

Do Battle with the Weeds in the Arboretum on August 7th & 10th

No matter how hard we try, those weeds just keep coming back, and the recent rain has really put them into overdrive. We want the Arboretum looking its best for Sculpture Walk, so we're hoping for all-hands-on-deck for our two work parties in August--Wednesday, August 7 and Saturday August 10 from 10 a.m. to noon both days. Help us win the battle of the weeds--at least temporarily!
