Meet Our New Executive Director!

The Board of Directors of Laurel House is pleased to announce the selection of Stacy Dougherty as Laurel House's next Executive Director!

With an impressive background, including a master's degree in public administration from West Chester University, and over 15 years of dedicated service at Laurel House, Stacy's deep-rooted passion for our mission and the community we serve positions her perfectly to lead Laurel House into its next chapter. Stacy will assume the role of Executive Director effective November 1st.

The Board and staff extend our heartfelt gratitude to Beth Sturman for her 19 years of service as Laurel House's Executive Director. Her contributions to our organization and community have been invaluable, and we wish her well in her much-deserved retirement.

A Sneak Peak at Transitional Housing!

Nehemiah's Way, our historic Transitional Housing unit of over 20 years, is currently undergoing much-needed renovations.

Construction began in January and is expected to be completed this summer! Some of the changes currently underway in the renovation include:

 Expanding our capacity from 5 apartment units to 6 apartment units;

➤ Making one unit fully ADA accessible by adding a wheelchair ramp;

➤ Installing all new HVAC units to eliminate the need for window air conditioners;

➤ Updating electrical and plumbing.

We are looking forward to being able to help 6 new families move into the Nehemiah’s Way Transitional Housing building when the needed renovation work is finished! Before we can move them in though, we'll need your help for one more crucial step...

Stay tuned for more information!
