It's that time of year again. The Wellsville Chamber of Commerce business year runs from 8/1/24 through 7/31/25. You can still join us! Be sure to click on the link below to print or auto-fill the form.

If you would like to showcase your business by hosting a Chamber meeting and/or luncheon at your location, please let us know. This is a great way to familiarize other business owners with the tools and resources you have to offer the community and show off your physical space. Or you can cater the lunch and hold it at the Wellsville City Library or Wellsville Health and Rehab has also offer their space and can cater on site.

If you would like to advertise to the thousands of cars passing by our billboard on Highway 33 each day, we can help produce and display a banner designed just for your business. This Chamber sign is especially important to your business if you are a business located somewhere other than on 33 highway. Many people who live outside Wellsville or are coming off the highway to stop at Bert's or Casey's don't know what other businesses Wellsville has to offer. They might make it a point to use your services each time they are in town if they only knew where you were!

Advent Health Shoes that Fit Program -

AdventHealth Ottawa, in partnership with the AdventHealth Ottawa Foundation, teamed up with the national nonprofit organization Shoes That Fit to provide shoes for Franklin County elementary school students in need. 1,149 Franklin County students received a brand-new pair of name-brand athletic shoes along with five pairs of socks. This initiative helps ensure elementary school children in need in Franklin County can walk into school proud and ready to learn.

In the United States, one in three kids lives in low-income families, and one of the most visible signs of poverty is shoes. Millions of children miss school, refrain from participating in sports, and face teasing and bullying due to worn-out shoes. By providing children with new shoes and socks, their self-esteem is boosted, attendance improves, and participation in physical activities increases.

Workforce -

Paul Bean recently attended a conference in Topeka that was hosted by Go Topeka. The guest speaker was Mark Perna who is an expert on generational trends and attributes. He spoke in detail on Gen Z as they are continuing to make more and more of our workforce in partnership with Millennials.

By the year 2030 these two generations will make up 80% of our workforce. So, it is important that employers understand some of the general traits of these two generations.

• 2000–Present: New Silent Generation or Generation Z
• 1980 to 2000: Millennials or Generation Y
