Summer Rise Spotlight: Meet Our Aspiring Young Architects and Designers
In July, House to Home Solutions hosted three high school student interns as part of the Montgomery County Public School System’s Summer Rise program. They shadowed us, took on a group mock design project, joined us for our July Countertops educational event, and went on a field trip to visit local home design and renovation suppliers in the community. Even when the program was over, they came back to finish the group 3D model!
We couldn’t be prouder of Jackson, Sika, and Timur, for their contagious enthusiasm, determination, and passion. Learn more about our aspiring designers and architects in this blog.

From Outdated Kitchen to a Space Homeowners Both Love
When looking to update a “sorely outdated” kitchen, homeowners in Derwood, Maryland knew they had a major obstacle to overcome. The couple typically found it overwhelming to sort through so many design options and often would disagree on which elements to select.
The House to Home Solutions team guided the couple through the design process to create a beautiful kitchen transformation that they both absolutely love! Stunning Mystic-Glass backsplash and Blanco Crystol countertops catch the eye as soon as one steps into the kitchen. Details such as under-cabinet mood lighting, a stainless-steel range hood, and a built-in beverage center combine function and form to delight for years to come.

Understanding Door Families to Mix 'n' Match!
Want to add details that help elevate a room so it’s not so humdrum? Don’t get us wrong! Humdrum is, shall we say…safe, and you can’t go wrong with a white shaker door style.
But what happens when you take the simple elements of a shaker door and match it up with another cabinet door style? This can be done easily when you keep a few "rules" in mind for mixing up your styles to create interesting and cohesive designs. Learn more about mixing door styles with Dura Supreme Cabinetry.

What Our Clients Are Saying…
“The design phase began with Daniel asking what we would like to have in our new kitchen. We discussed numerous options, ranging from changing the physical layout of the kitchen to deciding which components we wanted to include. Throughout this process, Daniel listened to our concerns, answered all questions, and provided excellent advice. Afterward, he produced computer-generated plans which allowed us to clearly visualize the finalized design.”
