A Note From Raymon

I have been asked to write about the virus and I won’t do it so no need to ask again. Too many people are doing that and I delete the videos sent to me on the subject.

My intent is to write something beneficial, informative or at least ~~ entertaining.

This is a story about honesty and was so impressed, I want to share it with you.

I went to the farm store in Meadowview, VA. yesterday morning to buy some grass seed. Hadn’t been there for about a month. 

A brief description of Meadowview, located in Southwest Virginia 24 miles North of the Tennessee line, is a farm community 12 miles from my home. 

There is a feed store, farm supply, post office, a few churches, an organic restaurant and a truck stop at exit 24. on I-81.

There are no traffic lights but 4 stop signs, which aren’t used much, because they aren’t necessary.

They are more of a suggestion than command.

The hardware / farm store is one of the last of its kind. You can actually buy one bolt and nut and buy nails individually or by the pound. Nothing is in plastic wrappers. If you buy something heavy, they will carry it out to the truck for you. 

Walking up to the counter, was greeted by Rusty the clerk and told him I needed 20 pound of grass seed. 

He reached into a paper cup and pulled out a $5 bill handing it to me, saying. ‘You dropped this in the floor when you were her last time and we saved it for you.”

Only reply I could think of was. “Rusty, that is what I call HONESTY'

Told him. ' I write a newsletter each month and send to people around the world. Was wondering what to write about this month and you just gave me the subject. HONESTY.’

Folks there is no doubt that there are a lot of crooks in the world but there are also a lot of good honest people too. Those are the kind I have chosen to associate with. WHY? Because I realize we have choices. So when you have a choice ~~~take it.

Have heard all my life, ‘It takes all kinds of people to make the world.’

When someone tells me this, I ask, ‘How many car thieves, burglers, child molesters, drug dealers and serial killers do you really need to have a well balanced community?’

Surround yourself with HONEST people, It makes life easier.
