When I go to Lake Beauty, or call staff, or exchange emails I don’t need a camera to see what is happening. My observations are always the same: wonderful people with a really high energy level. Sometimes I sit on the porch and just watch. The campers are full of energy, the staff is full of energy and all that energy is directed at enjoying God’s beautiful camp and learning about Jesus. Did I mention this was a sacred high energy place?....

I heard a colleague of mine use a phrase to describe himself once as a “recovering youth pastor.” For context, he had been a youth pastor for many years and realized that there were aspects of being a youth pastor that never left him. I have discovered in the past couple of years that I, too, am a recovering youth pastor in some regards....

Each summer, we have the opportunity to welcome hundreds of campers to Lake Beauty Bible Camp. July has been an absolute whirlwind of a month with Frontier Kids, Trailblazer 3, Junior High 2, LIT 2, and Senior High. This week, we have our largest summer youth camp, Senior High. Nearly 200 high schoolers and newly-minted young adults are here and they are ready to have fun and worship our great Creator....

Lake Beauty Bible camp is pleased to announce our participation in the Power of Camp Study, in summer 2024. We are part of a group of camps across the country who are part of this project. This ground-breaking study will reveal the strengths and growing areas of Lake Beauty. The Power of Camp Study is based on the methodology of the Effective Camp Project developed by Dr. Jacob Sorenson of Sacred Playgrounds.
