August Edition

A Message from the Mayor

Simcoe Day is quickly approaching, which means you may be getting ready to enjoy the long weekend.

We want to remind residents that most municipal facilities will be closed on Monday, August 5 - but there is still much to do in the City of Vaughan! For a list of what's opened and closed in Vaughan, please click here.

If you are planning to set off fireworks this long weekend, please ensure you have a permit. For more information, please click here.

From my family to yours, wishing everyone a safe and relaxing long weekend!

RECAP FROM JULY

The Vaughan community had a blast at the Vaughan Celebrates Canada Day! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy our annual fun-filled event at Boyd Conservation Area.

July 21 - 27 was National Drowning Prevention Week. We shared important safety tips and reminded residents that they can sign up for swimming lessons here in the City of Vaughan. For more information, please click here.

I got to join our Public Works Team to install a speed cushion as part of our traffic calming measures in our community.
