Ashley Weaver's
Electra McDonnell Novels
Edgar-nominated author Ashley Weaver’s historical mystery series starring amateur sleuth and former thief/safe cracker Electra McDonnell is set in England during World War II. It features plenty of spies, murder, and romance.
In A Peculiar Combination, book 1, Electra is recruited by a British officer to use her safe-cracking skills for the good of the war. A delightful mystery filled with wry humor, tight suspense, and a great cast of characters. In The Key To Deceit, book 2, Ellie and her family help the government’s war effort by solving the murder of a woman involved in espionage. The plot is fast-paced, and Ellie is wonderfully resourceful and divinely funny. In Playing It Safe, book 3, Ellie assists Major Ramsey with a new assignment and unmasks a spymaster. "Outstanding. . . a bright, fast-paced thriller with engagingly flawed characters and breathless action"—Publishers Weekly

The Whelden Library Redeemable Shed
Open 24/7 Recycle your redeemables and make a donation to your library.
Donating is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
- Bag up your clean, redeemable cans and plastic bottles!
- Drop them off at the recycling shed in the library parking lot.
- Congratulate yourself on a job well done!
What we can't take:
- glass
- water bottles (unless canned/bubble/seltzer)
- most ciders, teas, and juices
Please be mindful that this is meant as a fundraiser for the library and not a recycling service. Non-redeemables dropped of at the shed adds an expense for the library for disposal.
Check the tops and sides of the cans for the MA designation stamp before donating!
