12th Annual "Save A Life" Golf Tournament

This year we hosted our 12th Annual "Save a Life" Golf Tournament at Territory Golf Course in Sauk Rapids. Despite some rain towards the end, it was an amazing event filled with laughter and joy. We thank everyone for their cooperation with the rain and the new way of doing things. We heard great feedback and appreciate all the compliments. We ended up raising just over $20,000 to be put towards saving lives. There were over 150 golfers this year who came to support the great cause and have fun while doing it. We look forward to next year and hope to see everyone back again for another great year.

Coral Springs, Florida Parks Project

Advocates For Health was awarded a bid for 30 Outdoor AED Smart Montoried Cabients through an RFP Bid process in Coral Springs Florida in 2023. The development of a Solar Powered unit was also developed for this project. Advocates For Health worked with Justin Ellis with the local Parks and Recreation Department along with the Coral Springs Fire Department Chief McNally to execute this project. Advocates For Health worked closely with community leaders to develop an action plan specific to the community parks and Outdoor AED Cabinets. Coral Springs customized their Outdoor AED units to include a bleed kit as well as customized labeling and a full vinyl wrap. The QR code on the front can be scanned to reveal how to do CPR and use an AED.

Support local communities in fundraising for Outdoor AED Smart Monitored Cabinets

St. Cloud Minnesota 4-Minute City Coming Soon!

Advocates For Health is partnering with Avive to launch 1 of 16 4-minute cities across the United States in St. Cloud Minnesota. Planning is underway to develop the best plan specific to the St. Cloud area. The deployment will happen to launch the program with citizens of the community and emergency responders. The newly FDA-approved AEDs will be placed strategically around the city to ensure the recommended 4-minute response time.

This new AED is "Ahead of it's time" says Advocates for Health founder Rich Feneis. "We are excited to partner with Avive and community leaders to develop the best plan for improving Sudden Cardiac Arrest."

CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center has funded the cost of the project so far and is one of the major stakeholders in the planning and implementation of this project.

"A wealth of data say that rapid defibrillation saves lives, and the sooner people receive a shock from an AED, the higher their chances of survival. Avive’s 4 Minute Cities strive to make an AED available within 4 minutes of collapse from Sudden Cardiac Arrest." -Avive

So far 3 communities have implemented the 4-Minute City program in 2023. Forsyth, GA, Cumberland County, PA, Jackson, TN.
