The Fuel of Hope

At the end of June, I got the chance to participate in a meeting of the national board of Casey Family Programs. The meeting was focused on the effect of the pandemic on children, families, and the field of child welfare. We heard from a diversity of professionals, including a pediatrician, a sheriff, a school administrator, and a researcher.


I left that meeting brimming with hope.



The pandemic has had many terrible, tragic consequences, most notably the enormous loss of life. But alongside the magnitude of the losses, the presenters shared the positive transformations the experience of the pandemic had catalyzed.

Our 30th Child Abuse Prevention Conference


On July 23 and 24, Prevent Child Abuse Arizona hosted its largest and most vibrant conference yet, bringing together 900 passionate participants. The theme of the milestone event was "Prevention Made Visible is Joy."



From the moment participants arrived, joy was palpable in every detail of the convening. Our team worked to weave the theme into every aspect so that joy wasn’t just a concept, but a lived experience for all who attended.

Round Up for Families

If you shop at any Bashas’ or Food City stores this August, you can round up your change to benefit Prevent Child Abuse Arizona, Casa de Los Ninos, Control Alt Delete, and Gabriel's Angels. Every chance to round up is no small change – in the 2023 campaign, all stores raised a total of $117,686.43 for nonprofits supporting Arizona families!
