YOUNG ATHLETES ages 2-7

Special Olympics' Young Athletes is an early childhood play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages 2 to 7 years old. Young Athletes introduces basic sport skills, like running, kicking, and throwing. Young Athletes offers families, teachers, caregivers and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children.

Flag Football Coach Training

• On September 9, SONC will host a coach training and athlete clinic in Mooresville. This will help prepare athletes and Unified partners for fall flag football opportunities for interested local programs!

Coaching Opportunities

• Assistant cheer leading coaches, cheer starts in December and runs through March
• Assistant bowling coaches, we have two seasons of bowling. Winter (Dec-March) and Spring (March-June)
• Young Athletes Program volunteers needed for Saturday mornings at Gigi's Playhouse in South Charlotte
