Sweet Home Alabama!
|
We are excited to welcome back to Mobile five of the state representatives and the Distinguished Young Woman of America as they begin their freshman year at the University of South Alabama (USA)! Máire Nakada (DYW of America), Nicole Lusk (MD), Tara Principe (RI), Caitlyn Penter (SC), JamieNicole Morelan (WI) and Kelly Welsh (AR) all decided to take advantage of the amazing scholarships that USA offers to Distinguished Young Women participants. For these six young women, they will have a combined scholarship amount of approximately $750,000 for the next four years, in addition to any cash scholarships they won. Thanks to USA for the continued support and to all of the colleges and universities across the nation that partner with us as we strive to give every young woman the opportunity to further her education and prepare for a successful future.
In addition to these six young women at USA, three other members of the Class of 2015 also chose to attend Alabama colleges. Arlene Maheu (DE) is attending Auburn University, Tanner Fant (MS) is at the University of Alabama and Ashley Stevens (TN) is a student at the University of Montevallo.
