If you have stopped by our museum shop this summer, you haveseen the beautiful work of Gabriella
Cantelmo, our new Gift Shop Manager and Administrative Assistant. She has refreshed the shop and expanded our offerings to include new items that capture our mission and promote our museum. From children's books and building blocks to buoy keychains, photographic prints, and logoed hats, Gabriella has selected items that give visitors a piece of local history and culture to carry with them.
Gabriella first worked at the Penobscot Marine Museum as a Collections Intern in the summer of 2015.
She fell in love with Maine and our museum and vowed to return. Gabriella earned a BA in Museum Studies and Art History at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, and worked as a Museum Educator for the Mahoning Valley Historical Society in Youngstown, Ohio. She also has retail experience that's been invaluable in forming a vision for our shop. We are so appreciative of Gabriella's broad experiences and her ability to take on a whole range of projects to further our work.
